Salvador Island, located in the southeastern
Bahamas, is a sparsely populated tropical
Out Island Paradise of powdery white
sand beaches and warm crystalline
waters. Only 385 miles southeast of
Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, San Salvador
is accessible by scheduled and charter
air flights direct to a modern 4,400
foot paved airstrip, or by sea to
our deep water marina which offers
a protected harbor with electric and
water hook-ups for visiting yachtsman.
Riding Rock Resort and Marina is one
of only two resorts located on the
scenic San Salvador oceanfront. Built,
owned and operated by the William's
family since the 1960's,the resort
is and always has been dedicated to
the comfort and convenience of water
sports enthusiasts.
Accommodations
Guests staying at the resort have
their choice of two room categories.
Our one story building includes 12
Standard rooms overlooking the
pool area and on the opposite side
of the building, 12 Deluxe Oceanfront
rooms. The Standard and Deluxe rooms
share adjoining doors, making them
ideal suites for families
and friends traveling together.
There are also 18 Deluxe Oceanfront
rooms in our adjacent two story building.
All of the Deluxe rooms have spectacular
views of the Caribbean Sea.
All rooms are air conditioned and
offer cable TV, telephone, private
bath, porch or balcony, outside drying
hooks, tile floors and daily housekeeping.
Beach towels are available at the
resort laundry facility or at the
dive shop. In addition to the standard
room amenities, Deluxe rooms have
a mini fridge, ocean view, patio with
chairs and a writing table and chairs.
The resort also features a freshwater
swimming pool, and access to a breathtaking
white sand beach.

Amenities
To service the special needs of divers,
the Riding Rock Resort and Marina
features two custom dive boats, complete
with deep V-hulls, walk-thru transoms,
dive platform with extended ladders,
camera rinse and protection from the
sun. A full service SSI and PADI dive
center is located in the marina complex,
complete with air compressors, guest
gear storage, training facilities
and conference room.
Scuba Diving
Boats leave the marina at 9:00 am
each morning for a two tank trip.
They return to the dock around 12:30
pm. The dive boats leave for a one
tank wall dive each afternoon around
2:30 pm. Night dives are scheduled
for Tuesday evening. All dive equipment
except for wetsuits, remains on the
boats for the duration of your trip,
the crew gives everything a fresh
water rinse daily. Wetsuits and skins
are hung up to dry in an outdoor area.
Tanks are 80 cu ft aluminum compact
80's. These cylinders are 4 pounds
heavier in the water than a standard
80 and allow you to wear less weight
on your body.

Marina Anglers from all over the world
have discovered the marine wilderness
of San Salvador. World record Blue
Marlin, Wahoo, Dolphin, Kingfish and
Tuna cruise the deep blue waters just
minutes from the Riding Rock docks.
We encourage the philosophy of catch
and release sport fishing in an effort
towards conservation.
Deep Sea fishing is offered for 1/2
and full days charters on our 28'
boat, Odyssey III.
Morning departures are usually set
for 8:30 am, but the departure time
is not set in stone and can be arranged
to fit the needs of our anglers. Tackle,
bait and water are provided. With
advance notice, we would be happy
to prepare and pack your beverages
of choice and snacks or meals for
your charter at an additional cost.
You are welcome to bring your own
beverages and food also.
Services and Activities
The full service marina facilities
at the Riding Rock Resort and Marina
include electric hook-ups, fresh water,
diesel and gas, showers and
restrooms, ice, laundry room, satellite
televisions connections and of course
protected deep water dockage. Marina
Anglers from all over the world have
discovered the marine wilderness of
San Salvador. World record Blue Marlin,
Wahoo, Dolphin, Kingfish and Tuna

from the Riding Rock docks. We encourage

Restaurants
Especially popular are our restaurant
-- specializing in American and Bahamian
cuisine with an accent on fresh fish
-- and the Driftwood Lounge. Both
provide a friendly, casual atmosphere
for the food and drinks and a magnificent
ocean view.
Breakfast
Breakfast
is served from 7:30 am to 9:00 am.
Fresh fruit, cereal, French toast,
pancakes, bacon and sausage are served
to order or buffet style.
Lunch
Lunch is served from 12:30 pm to 2:00
pm. Conch chowder and fresh Bahamian
bread are served daily. Your choice
of a meat or fish dish or a buffet
style meal is prepared. Cracked conch,
grouper fingers, steamed conch, pizza
and baked chicken are some of the
selections.
Dinner
Dinner is served from 6:30 pm to 8:30
pm. A garden salad and soup are served
with each entree. Your choice of meat
or fish dish is prepared or a buffet
style meal. Grilled dolphin, roast
beef, steamed grouper, stuffed chicken
breast and steak are some of the selections.
