Golfing
The almost perfect year round weather make Barbados a true "golfer's Paradise". Six golf courses are located around the island making it easy to meet your tee time. Both 9 and 18 hole courses are available.

Scuba Diving
Whether new to diving or a seasoned pro, you will be amazed by underwater Barbados. The fringes and reefs found off this island blossom with healthy sponges, coral, plant life. There are a number of reefs, each one unique in its own special way.

Fishing
The warm waters off the coast of Barbados offer ideal fishing for Barracuda, Tuna, Wahoo, Dolphin (Dorado), and the Marlin species. There is a fleet of sportfishing charter boats available. Most charters include drinks, all tackle and bait.

Sailing
Barbados is blessed with excellent weather, calm seas and steady breezes, making it a favorite of sailors. There are a number of cruise services located around Bridgetown offering charter services. Bridgetown also has repair facilities for yachts up to 40 tons. Port St. Charles Marina on the nothwest coast can accommodate yachts up to 130 feet.

Surfing
The island's location far out in the Atlantic Ocean allows waves to travel thousands of miles on the bottom of the sea to finally unload all the power it developed during it's long journey over Barbados' coral reefs.

As Barbados is a Coral island, a coral reef stretches all around Barbados' coastline, providing for unlimited surfing conditions all over. No matter whether a swell approaches the island from a northerly or westerly direction or whether it's moving in from the East or the South, Barbados is guaranteed to have surf somewhere along it's shores at almost any given day of the year.

Additional Watersports
Other watersports popular in Barbados are Kayaking, Kitesurfing, Parasailing, Waverunners (Jetskis), Windsurfing.

Cricket
Cricket is the national sport of Barbados and the West Indies. Thousands of Barbadians, other West Indians and visitors flock to world-class matches at Kensington Oval, Barbados to watch batsmen of the calibre of Brian Lara, Carl Hooper and Shivnarine Chanderpaul as well as hostile fast bowlers such as Curtly Ambrose and Courtney Walsh.

Biking
Both liesure biking and mountain biking are available in Barbados. No matter whether one is cycling high above the east coast with the Atlantic Ocean always in sight, or climbing up the steep hill to St. John's Church , or riding down the roads framed by lush, tropical vegetation into a "surfer's paradise", Bathsheba, or cruising along the East Coast Road, or climbing the "almost mountains" up to Cherry Tree Hill or Apes Hill, there is always something to catch the eye.

Hiking
Hike Barbados takes you through cane fields, gullies, tropical forests and coastal communities to explore the unique geological and social structure of Barbados. Along the way you will meet new friends, enjoy healthy exercise and observe the delicate balance of the unique heritage and environment of Barbados.

Horseback Riding
Explore Barbados on horseback! Local riding centres offer a variety of trail rides and exciting scenic rides along the beach for those with any level of experience.
