The marriage license can be gotten from the General Registry in Belize City (501-2-77377) or at the Solicitor General's Office in Belmopan (501-8-22154). The cost of the license is US$100.00.
  • Proof of citizenship is needed, an original birth certificate with a raised seal, or a certified copy signed by a notary public, which includes father's name OR a valid passport.
  • If applicable, proof of divorce (a certified copy or an original copy of your divorce certificate); and a death decree in the event that one of the partners getting married is a widow or widower.
  • A blood test is not required.
