Directions
To Mariposa Jungle Lodge
Leaving
the International Airport parking lot, you will
soon see a T junction in front of you. Turn left
towards the Northern Highway. (If you turn right,
you go to Belize City, which is out of the way.)
You will come to a YIELD sign. Turn left here,
up the Northern Highway away from Belize City.
Continue past a sign for Burrell Boom. Turn left
and continue until you reach a traffic circle
where you bear right on to the Western highway
toward Belmopan.
At Belmopan, continue along the Western Highway
toward San Ignacio. You will reach the village
of Georgeville, where you will see a big sign
that says Mountain Pine Ridge, Barton Creek and
Caracol. This is the first turn off to the Mountain
Pine Ridge and Mariposa Jungle Lodge. On the left
corner, you will see signs for several destinations,
including Mariposa Jungle Lodge. Turn here onto
Georgeville Road, which later turns into the Chiquibul
Road a/k/a the Mountain Pine Ridge Road. After
driving for 9 miles miles, youll reach a
junction. Turn right. Go .2 miles and youll
see our sign and driveway.
If you miss the turn-off in Georgeville, youll
have another opportunity before reaching San Ignacio.
Continuing along the Western Highway, you will
drive through Red Creek Police checkpoint. Keep
going straight until you see a CP gas station
on your right. About 100 yards from there, you
will see signs overhead indicating the Mountain
Pine Ridge. Turn left onto this road and drive
slowly and carefully for 11 miles. You will drive
through Cristo Rey Village and later San Antonio
Village. Mariposa Jungle Lodge is three miles
past the village of San Antonio, on your right.
If you reach the junction, youve gone too
far.
