 Casa Obear is located
on the beautiful north coast in Costambar, a
multinational gated community with a mile of
beach, golf restaurants and convenience shopping.
It is 20 - 25 minute drive to Puerto Plata airport.
The villa combines American taste, choices,
conveniences and efficiencies with Dominican
architecture, design, tile, stucco, textiles,
mahogany and gardens. Our service employees
(since 1985) will meet your flight and cheerfully
see to your needs.
Accommodations
Sleeps 12 + (5 BR, 4 Baths)
A huge American style kitchen has a pass through
counter to the living/dining area where majestic
louver doors open to the ocean panorama. The
portico entry is a popular place for breakfast,
relaxation and exposure to the soft breeze while
absorbing the colorful landscape and port activity.
A very large main floor bedroom with king size
bed,  queen sofa bed, bath,
private balcony and work station is a distinct
living area.
Upstairs, the master bedroom suite with king
size bed includes a queen size sofa bed for
additional sleeping acommodations, perhaps for
children. A luxurious bath has a shower, Roman
tub and bidet. The upstairs family room
entertainment center has 2 comfortable couches
- one a queen size sofa bed - TV & VCR,
a work station and truly spectacular ocean view.
There is access to a sun terrace and also a
separate roofed terrace for multiple uses.
Covered walkways through a walled atrium provide
access to the pool, garden and widely separated
bedrooms. Opening to the pool, the garden suite
has a king size bed, queen sofa bed, bath, kitchenette
and patio. Apart from the suite is a small bedroom
with bunk beds, work station and outlook to
the pool. A 5th charming bedroom with bath,
queen size bed and patio has a view of the garden,
pool and 3,000 ft. Mt. Isabel de Torres.

jeep tours, white water rafting, mountain bikes.
Museums/Sightseeing/Shopping
- Amber Museum in Puerto Plata
- See the old fort at the harbor and visit the
place where Columbus landed to establish the
first settlement
- Visit Santo Domingo capital where Columbus
era buildings are toured in the Colonial Zone.
- A must for most shoppers is a ring, necklace
or bracelet of larimar, a lovely blue stone
found only in the DR. Also a favorite is the
yellow DR stone, amber, set in gold or silver.
Snorkeling/Scuba Diving
Sosua is the place for this. You can take a
catamaran excursion or drive directly to the
beach.
Rates
Weekly rates May 1 - Dec. 14 (up to 4 people):
$919 + $131 for each additional person.
Winter: Dec. 15 - April 30: $1,225 + $175 for
additional guests (over 4).
Rates include maid service, complimentary full
breakfast and transportation within the gated
Costambar multinational community.
