Rebel Salute Music Festival

The premiere one-night Roots Reggae Festival is set for Saturday, January 14, 2006 at the Kaiser Sports Club in St. Elizabeth. It will feature a rare performance of the international music icon BURNING SPEAR ! Other reggae Ambassadors who will perform includes: Inner Circle, Gentleman, Luciano and of course Tony Rebel. This roots festival is unquestionably a cultural masterpiece which has seen phenomenal growth in attendance from both local and international patrons.

Air Jamaica Jazz & Blues Music Festivals
Rose Hall Resort & Country Club, Cinnamon Hill Ocean Course, Montego Bay


This event themed 'the Art of Music' will showcase several genres such as Country, Jazz, R&B and Reggae. There will be food and craft booths featuring Jamaican products. This year's exciting line-up of artistes include:
James Ingram, Air Supply, Al Green, KEM, Shaggy, Maxi Priest, Nestor Torres, Morgan Heritage, Tami Chynn, Richie Stephens with a special 50th Anniversary performance by Byron Lee and the Dragonnaires and his special guests and an artistic tribute by painter Jean Francis.

High Mountain Coffee 10K & 5K Road Races
Manchester, South Coast


One of the premier events on the Jamaican road racing calender is the High Mountain Coffee 10K and 5K events (inaugurated 1983). Over the years overseas participation has increased since its inception and with the introduction of the 5-K race, younger athletes under 17 have also increased.

Negril Fat Tire Festival
Negril, Negril


The Negril Fat Tire Festival is on for February 3-5, 2006 at Good Hope, Negril Hills, Negril. The course will take competitors through the various terrain of the western coast of Jamaica from the white sand beach to the mountainous region.

A celebration with live entertainment will wrap up the activities. You don't have to be a mountain bike racer to participate.

Little Ochi Seafood Carnival

The Little Ochi Seafood Carnival is a celebration of the wide array of culinary delights available on the southern coast of the island. This event usually attracts some 6,000 patrons who eat and party until 4:00 am each year. 43rd Port Antonio International Marlin Tournament

Port Antonio Marina, Port Antonio

The 43rd Port Antonio International Marlin Tournament and 22nd Port Antonio Local Canoe Tournament will be held in Portland from September 30 to October 7, 2006.


In 2005, 38 endangered Atlantic Blue Marlins were released alive in keeping with the International Game Fish Association (IGFA) Tag & Release Regulations. We had anglers from the countries of USA, Barbados, Haiti, Switzerland, Russia, Austria, Tobago, Trinidad and Denmark.
